Our Teaching Excellence Spotlight is on Dr. April Prince

For the second nomination for the Teaching Excellence Spotlight, we are featuring Dr. April Prince, a professor in the Department of Music History, Theory, and Ethnomusicology with UNT’s esteemed College of Music.

Dr. Prince faces the often arduous task of designing and teaching large, non-major Core courses for the College of Music. Fortunately, she’s up for the challenge and brings an enthusiasm to making general education and Core courses relevant to non-majors while challenging students to think about music in different ways. This past summer, she redesigned MUMH 16010: Music as Communication to a fully online format where she utilizes educational technologies to create engaging learning experiences for her students.
